We transformed this historic 433-unit apartment community, located on 36 acres in one of Boston’s northern suburbs, into one of the area’s highly desirable rental properties, offering cutting-edge amenities, entertainment, and technology.
The historic 433-unit community comprises 12 buildings surrounded by 36 secluded acres in one of Boston’s prime suburbs. The property is located at Route 1 and I-95, and less than 20 minutes outside of downtown Boston. It offers easy access to the region’s major highways and employment centers, and is only a few miles from the commuter rail station.
Repositioning Strategy
Because of the lack of quality rental properties in this market, our strategy was to create a best-in-class amenity package that targeted the growing demand from the millennial generation. The renovation and strategic marketing program delivered in Q1 2015 and provides residents with a Halstead Club, library and lounge, business center with iMacs, movie theatre, and a virtual golf simulator. Included as well are a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, boxing, spinning studio, and sports lounge with arcade games. These new spaces, along with improvements to the existing indoor basketball court, resort-style pool, running trail, and dog park further enhance the property’s appeal.
Halstead Danvers was sold in October 2017.
