Plans are under way for a new ultra-high-end boutique hotel in Alexandria, Virginia. Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Boston-based DSF Group have teamed up with world-renowned designer Vicente Wolfe to create the 107-room jewel. Twenty of the hotel's 107 rooms will be suites, some offering 700-square-foot outdoor terraces, while two of the suites will be presidential style, located on the penthouse floor. The property, which has yet to be named, will also feature a destination spa with five treatment rooms, an upscale restaurant, and a wine bar. The $50 million boutique hotel will open in the first quarter of 2009.
