Multifamily developer DSF Group expects to break ground on its first hotel in Q3 this year. The Alexandria, Va., luxury hotel will feature 107 rooms, a signature restaurant designed by Vicente Wolf, and a wine bar inside a historical building adjacent to the development site. Kimpton Hotels is slated to consult on the development and manage the hotel. It will be Kimpton's second hotel in the city. DSF originally wanted to develop a 65-unit condo on the site, but there is less demand for that type of project. Look for a late 2008, early 2009 opening.
